Indoor climbing takes place on a simulated rock wall located in an indoor gym. Most every outdoor activities you'll need can be found right at home.
Pack the dried or fresh fruit in resealable bags, so you can enjoy it for several days of your trip. If there is an accident or mishap along the way, there will be more people to assist if you are camping or hiking with a group. The rechargeable lanterns do not last as long as a battery type of lantern and the lighting tends to be a bit duller.
Strawberries and bananas are also not good portable foods. Easy things like saltine crackers, cheese crackers, graham crackers, peanut butter crackers, and various types of chips or pretzels are excellent for taking on a hiking or camping trip. To prepare for a hiking trip, sometimes I train on a bike as it uses a lot of the same muscles you use when hiking uphill.
If you are waiting for help to arrive, lay out colorful clothing or your space blanket in an area that is easy to see from above so that rescuers can find you from the air. Bring along a camera, binoculars and a magnifying glass on your camping and hiking trips as their will be lots to see. LED flashlights have since long replaced traditional bulbs previously used in flashlights.
But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself. Experienced hikers can offer good advice on boots as they have probably tried a few pairs throughout the years.
